Books are sold in PDF format. They are formatted so as to give a very similar reading experience as what you would get with a Kindle or epub book, but in a universal format without any
restrictions.
In case you are new to this kind of thing, PDF stands for Portable Document File, for which you need a document reader program/app. Nowadays these are normally provided as standard on all
computers and devices. On the off chance you don't have one, there are many free programs, such as
Adobe Reader.
To see what the books are like, check out the free "sampler" for each book. The sampler gives the first chapter so that you can get an idea of what the book is about.
At the point of sale the PDF is stamped with the buyer's information. It is meant as a gentle reminder that if people copy and give the book to others for free it makes it very hard for the
writer to make a living.
